Yes, it's true and you may still download and use in your website freely. Piranha alpha release is a linkware application. You can not remove link to our website. Current release can be used in personal and non-profit websites freely. Support is limited to paid versions. But we are replying each freedback form in one week for this release.

Easy installation

Unzip and upload everythisng to your webhost. You should create or use a virtual directory. Piranha comes with compiled codes. So you do not need to compile any code or use any other tool. After uploading all files, run piranha.sql within SQL Manager. This will create tables and sample users automatically.

Now, web.config file plays a major role in our application. Because this file hold very important informations for our application. Search "piranhaConnectionString" (21. line) and update connection string. You need to enter SQL server name, username, password and database name.

Again search "piranhaAppUrl" entry in web.config file. This entry must point to your website. That's all. If you have create database and connection correctly, Piranha is ready to run.

System Requirements

Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework. (Compiled with 3.5 however can be run on .NET 2 based servers; tested!)
SQL Server database
At least 5 mb web spaces.
Firefox or Internet Explorer for admin pages. (Opera and other browsers are not tested)
